Together with retail partner Jumbo Supermarkets, Uniekaas Holland took the next step in making its cheese range more sustainable, in close collaboration with the DOC Cheese Cooperative.
Uniekaas Holland works together with more than 200 dairy farmers and Jumbo to supply more sustainable, animal-friendly cheese. This long-term chain collaboration with Jumbo and the DOC Cheese Cooperative leads to further sustainability and added value for and throughout the entire cheese chain and Uniekaas Holland is proud of that!
A large number of dairy farmers affiliated with the cooperative, can now take the next step in the areas of animal welfare, nature and climate and receive a surcharge on the milk price for this. This contributes to long-term prospects and offers dairy farmers stability, security and space to invest in further sustainability. From June, the first more sustainable cheese will be available to customers in Jumbo stores.
